Great article! I went from reading nothing until seven years ago to reading about 65 books a year.

Lately, however, I've valued quality over quantity. I started valuing my reading life differently when I noticed I spent too much time "learning" or reflecting instead of putting things to action. This was an observation for my personal life.

Today, I aim for a lower number (50-52) with the focus on retaining the information better and reading the best books I can pick. It encourages me to read for the content instead of a numbered goal. I also use the extra time to invest in friendships and learn from them.

Both methods are great and I've enjoyed the journey. Reading adds so much value to your life and it overflows to the relationships around you and your life.

Appreciate the article, thank you!
